In the year 1954, on 2nd January Rajballavpur High School was established. The founders of the school (As per DI approved list) are respected Kumar Nath Mitra, Dilip Dutta Roy, Md. Daud Ali Mondal, Nirmal Kumar Ghosh and Sudhir Kumar Ghosh. Besides them many local people also contributed in cash and kinds for the establishment of the school. Many villagers contributed bamboo, straw and tin as well as money to build up the school.

At first the school started with very few students and only two classes Five (V) and Six (VI) were running then. So, at that time the name of the school was Rajballavpur Jr. High School. The school received its first affiliation on 01.01.1957 as a 2 class Jr. High School. After that the school received its second affiliation on 01.04.1960 as 4 Class Jr. High School and the school was upgraded to class VIII. The school was upgraded as High School through Government affiliation on 01.01.1964 and the the school was renamed as Rajballavpur High School. The school received its Higher Scondary status in 1984. And now Rajballavpur High School (H.S) is a boys’ school upto class-X and it is co-educational for class XI and XII.

At first it had a very tiny structure. But the school transformed itself through the years and it now acquires a 4-stroyed building with the help of local residents, ex-students as well as the well-wishers of the school. The school is not only the pride of Maslandapur area but also the pride of the whole North 24 parganas district. No doubt now Rajballavpur High School (H.S) is one of the best schools of the whole North 24 parganas district. Many ex-students of this school are well established in various fields like general science, medical science, engineering, humanities, commerce, research, sports, music etc.
